The Stalfond PPF is one of the largest private pension funds in the Russian Federation according to the overall performance indicators of its business (on the basis of official data published on the website of the Federal Financial Markets Service (FFMS).
Rating of АА+ as awarded by the National Rating Agency
Twice - in 2009 and 2008 - the National Rating Agency has given the AA+ rating to the Stalfond private pension fund (very high reliability, the first level). The National Rating Agency has been operating since 2000 and is one of the leading independent rating agencies in Russia. Ratings by the NRA are officially acknowledged by the state, professionals in the financial world and by most of the leading companies which are professional participants.
The methodology used by the National Rating Agency in its evaluation of the work of PPFs embraces a range of factors including: the volume of voluntary and mandatory pension assets, insurance reserves, the quality of the level of control, the investment policy and so forth.
The NRA notes that Stalfond’s development strategy enables it to develop effectively as a market PPF. Today the Fund possesses one of the most developed branch and agent networks on the Russian market for pension services, and has a high potential for further development.
Stalfond is a three-time laureate of the Financial Elite prize
In 2010 Stalfond became a laureate of the Financial Elite prize in the category “Five-Year Pension Fund for Mandatory Pension Provision,” and in 2007 and 2008 it was awarded a prize in the categories of “the Most Profitable Private Pension Fund in 2006” and “Efficiency and Profitability” respectively.
The annual awards of the “Russian Financial Elite” have been made since 2005. Each year the prize’s expert council chooses the winners on the basis of assessments by the leading rating agencies and also statistical data from the Russian Federation Ministry of Finance, the Bank of Russia, the FFMS, and other departments.
European Recognition
In November 2007 Stalfond took part in the European awards in the sphere of investments and pensions at the IPE AWARDS. According to the judges’ voting, the Fund was included in the three leaders in the “innovation” category, together with the best European pension funds, and even withstood competition from the Dutch fund ABP - the best European pension fund in 2005. It should be noted that Stalfond was the only official participant in the awards from Russia.
